Device Condition Grades
Every LUMA device is labelled Brand New, Grade A+, Grade A or Grade B before it's listed. Here's exactly what each label means, so you know what you're buying.

Brand New
- BATTERY HEALTH
- 100%. Unused battery, no charge cycles.
- COSMETIC CONDITION
- Flawless. The device has never been used, so there is no wear to grade.
- FUNCTIONALITY
- New and unused, not previously owned.
Grade A+
- BATTERY HEALTH
- Approximately 90% or above.
- COSMETIC CONDITION
- Near-mint. Screen is pristine and the body shows virtually no visible marks from an arm's length away.
- FUNCTIONALITY
- Passed a full diagnostic and functional test.
Grade A
- BATTERY HEALTH
- Guaranteed at 85% or above.
- COSMETIC CONDITION
- Excellent. Light signs of use only: faint marks visible on close inspection, nothing noticeable at arm's length.
- FUNCTIONALITY
- Passed a full diagnostic and functional test: identical performance to Grade A+.
Grade B
- BATTERY HEALTH
- Guaranteed at 80% or above.
- COSMETIC CONDITION
- Good. Light-to-medium scratches or scuffs on the body or bezel. No deep dents, no cracked glass.
- FUNCTIONALITY
- Tested and fully functional: identical performance to Grade A+ and Grade A.
01How we test every device
Every pre-owned device, Grade A+, Grade A or B, is tested with Apple's own diagnostic tools before it's listed, then factory reset so it arrives signed out of every account.
Battery health is read directly from diagnostics, not estimated. We disclose the real number, not a rounded one.
